Our Santa Paula treatment center is located at the heart of Ventura County and is the perfect place to improve your mental health. We provide a comfortable and safe environment where you can learn to address your mental health needs. 

We'll help you learn techniques you can use in times of distress and structure your individual treatment to improve your quality of life. At our mental health treatment center, you'll learn new and effective ways to manage your mental health through daily group therapy sessions, life skills classes, peer support groups, and individual counseling. 

Whether you are struggling with bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, or another condition, our experienced team can help you sort through complicated thoughts and feelings using evidence-backed methods. Once you have completed our program, we offer comprehensive aftercare to ensure you are set up for success upon returning to your daily life.

Jackson House Ventura is a residential mental health treatment center open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our highly trained staff provides round-the-clock support so clients and their families can access us at any time.

Nicole

Program Director

Nicole has been an LMFT since 2016 and received her master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University and her BA in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.

Nicole has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. She has worked in residential, PHP, and IOP programs for both adolescents and adults. She also has experience in ABA therapy with children, providing individual therapy to those living in groups homes and board and care facilities.

She joined the Jackson House team to be able to provide more services to individuals suffering from mental health problems and service her community. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter as well as playing in slow pitch tournaments and leagues.

“We are here to serve the clients and meet them where they are. Everyone has a unique story and comes to us in a time of need, and we want to provide a safe space for them to receive treatment.”

Marissa

Counselor

Marissa is a registered Clinical Social Worker who completed her undergraduate degree from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks and received her master’s degree in Social Work from California State University Long Beach with an emphasis on Child Welfare. Marissa has worked in the mental health field for the past 6 years. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

She joined the team at Jackson House Santa Paula because she has a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential by enhancing their self-esteem and resiliency and increasing motivation to achieve their personal goals. When Marissa is not at work, you will find her spending time and having fun with friends and family, reading a good book, or working out.

Sierra

Transition Specialist

Sierra has worked at Jackson House Santa Paula for over two years and has worked in a few different positions before transitioning into the role as Transition Specialist. Sierra graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Azusa Pacific University. Sierra has experience working with youth in residential treatment and has worked in the mental health field for 5 years.

Sierra joined the team at Jackson House to gain experience working with a different population in the mental health field and support individuals on their journeys to navigate their mental health. In her free time, she enjoys reading thriller books, running, and trying new coffee shops.

Nancy

Office Manager

Nancy has 7 years of experience working in the mental health field serving Ventura County. Nancy has provided services for both inpatient and outpatient treatment. She has experience working with the medical and commercial insurance population. Nancy joined Jackson House Santa Paula to provide her expertise in the mental health field and is excited to expand her professional knowledge.

Nancy’s patience and willingness to help clients in the community with their recovery journey will help our clients feel welcomed forming a positive atmosphere. Her goal is to help individuals in their short-term recovery journey at Jackson House. When Nancy is not at work, she enjoys going to the beach to watch the sunset, spending time with family and friends as well traveling.

Denise

MHT Lead

In 2024, I joined the Jackson House team, supporting clients achieve stability, and providing them with resources to maintain their progress upon completion of the program. For two years, I worked for Ventura County Behavioral Health as a mental health associate, coordinating with mental health providers and facilities treatments for clients.

Working at Jackson House fills a desire to help others and make a meaningful impact on their lives. Supporting clients grow and develop their goals is rewarding.

I have a certificate of completion as a phlebotomy technician I, and I attended Ventura College. I enjoy time with my daughter, eating pho and ramen.

Reaching out for help is a brave act of self-care. Support is a sign of strength, not weakness. At Jackson House, we provide you the support you need to achieve your goals.

Caitlin

Counselor

Caitlin is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who completed her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College and received her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. She has worked in education and mental health, working with vulnerable children, adolescents, and adults.

Caitlin joined the team at Jackson House to continue developing her skills as a counselor and to provide support and empower individuals in her community to achieve their goals, pursue their passions, and find a sense of peace and healing. When not at work, Caitlin enjoys hiking and watching TV with her husband and cats, and roller skating.

Katie

Lead Nurse

Katie entered the Army Reserves in 2007. Through the military she completed combat medic training and nurse training. She obtained her nursing license in 2010, mobilized for countless missions, and deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 where she served on a trauma team. In civilian life she has worked as a nurse in primary care practice, home health, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and now mental health. She holds a bachelors degree in exercise science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She is CPR certified and is licensed to practice nursing in the state of California.

She began working at Jackson House SP in 2021 to broaden her professional experiences and learn.

While at home, Katie enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and her 2 dogs. She loves attending church, traveling, exercising, playing video games, and listening to music.

Angelica

Counselor

Angelica is a Board Certified Music Therapist who received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from UCLA and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Music Therapy from Lesley University. She has worked in mental health and special education and has experience working with children and adults.

Angelica joined the team at Jackson House to continue honing her clinical skills and to promote the use of music and other expressive arts as a form of emotional expression and release. In her free time, she enjoys singing at the top of her lungs, spending time with her partner and pets, and rock climbing.

Thomas is a Clinical Intern who is studying for a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University. Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts at Thomas Aquinas College. Thomas believes that small steps lead to big changes and that all people have the potential for greatness.

Thomas joined the team at Jackson House Santa Paula to help clients meet their mental health goals while working with a team of passionate professionals. When Thomas is not at work, you will find him cooking salsa and catching up with friends and family.

Francine

Counselor

Francine is a certified addiction specialist. She received her undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati and earned her master’s degree from the University of UMass Global. She has worked in mental health for seven years.

Francine joined the team at Jackson House to continue honing her clinical skills and to promote the use of her co-occurring disorders degree to aid people in their recovery journey and to build meaningful lives. In her free time, she enjoys biking at the beaches, hiking, and spending time with her family and pets.

Ellie

Counselor

Ellie began at Jackson House as a Clinical Intern while completing her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Kentucky. She received her Bachelor’s of Social Work from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she was an active student researcher in the Social Work integrative Research Lab.

She brings a diverse background in social services, with experience in domestic violence support, homeless services, developmental disabilities, and mental health care. Ellie joined the counseling team at Jackson House to continue her passion for partnering with others on their journeys of healing and recovery. Outside of work, Ellie loves to surf, birdwatch, and attempt to master the art of latte foam (helpful tips are welcome!).

Angie has worked at Jackson House Santa Paula for over a year in a few different roles and has recently transitioned into the role of Counselor. Angie received a B.A in Political Science at the University of California Santa Barbara and has earned her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Latinx mental health from Antioch University in Santa Barbara.

She has worked in mental health for over 6 years and has experience working with children, adults, and families. Angie believes that small steps lead to big changes and that all people have the potential for greatness. Angie joined the team at Jackson House to implement her clinical skills and empower others to meet their mental health goals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, spending time in nature, and playing board games.
