Our Visalia Mental Health Services

Jackson House is thrilled to open its doors to the Visalia community. Our new outpatient facility is located in the heart of the Central Valley, in a peaceful setting that inspires reflection, healing, and change. By expanding our services to Visalia and the surrounding areas, we aim to provide much-needed support to individuals seeking high-quality behavioral health care.

We offer two dedicated tracks at Jackson House Visalia: one focused on mental health and another tailored for those struggling with addiction. These pathways allow us to provide individuals with personalized support, whether they are seeking help for emotional well-being, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.

To accommodate different availabilities, we provide flexible scheduling options with morning, afternoon, and evening programs. Whether you’re balancing work, school, or family commitments, our goal is to make treatment accessible when it works best for you. We are here to support you on your path to healing—on your own terms.

Our Recovery Programs

The Jackson House family encompasses three programs so that we can better support our Southern California community. We will make sure you find the kind of care that best serves your needs.

Jackson House has many residential treatment centers in Southern California that provide around-the-clock care from professionals. These centers are designed for people battling persistent mental illnesses or going through a mental health crisis.

We also offer residential care at Jackson House Recovery Centers. This program is designed to help you recover from addiction through a variety of different treatment methods dedicated to your mental and physical wellness.

At West Coast Recovery Centers, you can find step-down program support after you leave a residential facility. We have partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and support living services at these clinics.

Nicole

Program Director

Nicole has been an LMFT since 2016 and received her master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University and her BA in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.

Nicole has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. She has worked in residential, PHP, and IOP programs for both adolescents and adults. She also has experience in ABA therapy with children, providing individual therapy to those living in groups homes and board and care facilities.

She joined the Jackson House team to be able to provide more services to individuals suffering from mental health problems and service her community. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter as well as playing in slow pitch tournaments and leagues.

“We are here to serve the clients and meet them where they are. Everyone has a unique story and comes to us in a time of need, and we want to provide a safe space for them to receive treatment.”

Marissa

Counselor

Marissa is a registered Clinical Social Worker who completed her undergraduate degree from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks and received her master’s degree in Social Work from California State University Long Beach with an emphasis on Child Welfare. Marissa has worked in the mental health field for the past 6 years. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

She joined the team at Jackson House Santa Paula because she has a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential by enhancing their self-esteem and resiliency and increasing motivation to achieve their personal goals. When Marissa is not at work, you will find her spending time and having fun with friends and family, reading a good book, or working out.

Carissa

Transition Specialist

Carissa has worked at Jackson House Santa Paula for over a year as a Mental Health Technician and recently transitioned into the role of Transition Specialist. Carissa received a B.S. in Psychology at Colorado State University and received a minor in Sports Management. She is currently working on her Masters of Social Work with an emphasis in Military Behavioral Health. Carissa hopes to continue to support mental health by empowering individuals to embrace their worth, practice self-love, and lead with compassion. She believes healing starts within, and kindness transforms us all.

Carissa joined the team at Jackson House to implement the skills she has learned throughout her educational career and to further support individuals on their mental health and recovery journeys. Now part of the clinical team, Carissa's goal is to provide clients with the necessary resources to succeed after their treatment at Jackson House. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and dogs. She loves listening to country music, going to sporting events, and working out.

Nancy

Office Manager

Nancy has 7 years of experience working in the mental health field serving Ventura County. Nancy has provided services for both inpatient and outpatient treatment. She has experience working with the medical and commercial insurance population. Nancy joined Jackson House Santa Paula to provide her expertise in the mental health field and is excited to expand her professional knowledge.

Nancy’s patience and willingness to help clients in the community with their recovery journey will help our clients feel welcomed forming a positive atmosphere. Her goal is to help individuals in their short-term recovery journey at Jackson House. When Nancy is not at work, she enjoys going to the beach to watch the sunset, spending time with family and friends as well traveling.

Sierra

MHT Lead

Sierra has worked in the mental health field for two years. Sierra graduated with her BA in Criminal Justice from Azusa Pacific University. Sierra has experience working with children and adolescents in residential treatment.

Sierra joined the Jackson House team to provide support to adults and to continue to get experience with a different population in the mental health field.

Outside of work, Sierra is a full-time dog mom and loves to hang out with family and friends.

Caitlin

Counselor

Caitlin is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who completed her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College and received her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. She has worked in education and mental health, working with vulnerable children, adolescents, and adults.

Caitlin joined the team at Jackson House to continue developing her skills as a counselor and to provide support and empower individuals in her community to achieve their goals, pursue their passions, and find a sense of peace and healing. When not at work, Caitlin enjoys hiking and watching TV with her husband and cats, and roller skating.

Katie

Lead Nurse

Katie entered the Army Reserves in 2007. Through the military she completed combat medic training and nurse training. She obtained her nursing license in 2010, mobilized for countless missions, and deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 where she served on a trauma team. In civilian life she has worked as a nurse in primary care practice, home health, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and now mental health. She holds a bachelors degree in exercise science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She is CPR certified and is licensed to practice nursing in the state of California.

She began working at Jackson House SP in 2021 to broaden her professional experiences and learn.

While at home, Katie enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and her 2 dogs. She loves attending church, traveling, exercising, playing video games, and listening to music.

Angelica

Counselor

Angelica is a Board Certified Music Therapist who received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from UCLA and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Music Therapy from Lesley University. She has worked in mental health and special education and has experience working with children and adults.

Angelica joined the team at Jackson House to continue honing her clinical skills and to promote the use of music and other expressive arts as a form of emotional expression and release. In her free time, she enjoys singing at the top of her lungs, spending time with her partner and pets, and rock climbing.

Thomas

Intern

Thomas is a Clinical Intern who is studying for a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University. Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts at Thomas Aquinas College. Thomas believes that small steps lead to big changes and that all people have the potential for greatness.

Thomas joined the team at Jackson House Santa Paula to help clients meet their mental health goals while working with a team of passionate professionals. When Thomas is not at work, you will find him cooking salsa and catching up with friends and family.

Francine

Counselor

Francine is a certified addiction specialist. She received her undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati and earned her master’s degree from the University of UMass Global. She has worked in mental health for seven years.

Francine joined the team at Jackson House to continue honing her clinical skills and to promote the use of her co-occurring disorders degree to aid people in their recovery journey and to build meaningful lives. In her free time, she enjoys biking at the beaches, hiking, and spending time with her family and pets.
