In The News: New legislation and how it affects mental health care in California

The Biden Administration's new Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act is aimed at making mental health and substance abuse treatment more accessible to all Americans. This legislation compels commercial insurance to cover broader treatment options and closes loopholes that previously existed.
Depression and anxiety have strong correlates with addiction or other health concerns, making it necessary to treat all issues simultaneously. The new legislation better equips facilities like Jackson House and West Coast Recovery Centers to treat both physical and mental concerns, increasing the likelihood of lasting recovery.
Jackson House has in-network status with every major insurance carrier, making it easier to get the care you need. We are thrilled to see new laws that help those in other areas of the country receive much-needed care.
